Iran announced a series of measures against US and UK entities and individuals over their support for Israel in its war in Gaza, which has raised fear of a full-blown conflict in the region.

Iran on Thursday issued a series of sanctions against several figures and entities in the United States and the United Kingdom over their support for Israel in the war in Gaza.

In a statement carried by several local media outlets, including the Islamic Republic News Agency and the Mehr News Agency, the Iranian Foreign Ministry announced sanctions against seven American individuals and five US entities, as well as five British individuals and eight British entities, for, it asserted, facilitating Israeli violations of human rights against the Palestinians in Gaza and promoting terrorism in the region.

Among the targeted American individuals are Gen. Bryan P. Fenton, commander of US Special Operations Command, and Vice Admiral Brad Cooper, a former commander of the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet, who the ministry said are complicit in Israel’s “heinous acts against the Palestinians especially in the Gaza Strip.”

The Lockheed Martin Corporation, General Dynamics Corporation and Skydio Engineering Company were among the US entities sanctioned for supplying weapons allegedly used by Israel in the current war.
